Scope:  From Lowry printer pre-configuration to TRANE Supplier successfully printing of 1st pink RFID production shipment label including host and printer installation and setup steps.

Zebra ZT411R RFID Printer – 4IN, 300DPI, DT TT, UHF RFID Module, Tear Bar, Power Cord with US Plug, USB 2.0, RS-232 Serial, 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, USB Host, EZPL – staging included. 

4×6 Fluorescent Pink RFID Labels – Roll OD 7.5″, 3″ Core, 1,000 Labels per roll.  Pricing is per case, there are 4 rolls per case. 

110mm x 450m, Premium Wax Ribbon – Formulated for Zebra RFID Printing System.  Pricing is per case, there are 4 rolls per case. 

RFID Service Bundle – Zebra ONECARE Essential, Second Business Day Onsite, 3 Years Non-Comprehensive.  Pre-Configuration and Staging of Printer Prior to Shipment.  Technical Phone Consultation/Installation for Printer.

Installation set-up steps:

Supplier IT receives and unboxes Lowry pre-configured ZT411R printer.
  1. Unpacking the Printer- 0:15
  2. Ribbon & Media Loading – 1:05
  3. RFID Calibration – 2:10
 

Supplier IT installs Zebra printer drivers & set-up utility provided on Zebra website (use of Zebra drivers is recommended in order to minimize encoding failures).

  1. Visit https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/printers/passive-RFID/zt411.html
  2. Select ZebraDesigner driver 32/64 bit. Certified for Windows (OS dependent)
  3. Select Zebra Setup Utilities for Windows

Supplier IT completes eBot Registry change on the local PC where the ZDesigner Driver is installed (elevated Admin credentials required). Click here for detailed instructions on making the eBot Registry change.

Supplier IT changes default printer to RFID printer and printer setup is confirmed in accordance with eBots Printer Services Reference Guide starting at PDF pages 9 thru 17 – Click here for detailed instructions on “Setting up eBots Printer Software” in the Ebots Installation Guide.

Supplier IT contacts their Buyer indicating they are ready for to have the label format changed in the Ultriva application to “Vendor RFID Portrait”.

Supplier IT and Buyer planner agree to a date and time between shipments to do the remaining final steps.

Buyer verifies the supplier site set up and completes label format change in the Ultriva application to “Vendor RFID Portrait” and notifies Supplier IT

Supplier End User executes production test print or reprint out of Ultriva application.

Supplier IT & Supplier End User verify output is correct (pink portrait non-cross hatched label generated).
