Lowry Solutions Donates 46,499 to Gleaners Community Food Bank as Part of the Company’s #LowryCares Program – Sets New Company Record!

Brighton, MI – January 25, 2018 – Lowry Solutions has raised more than 46,000 meals for Gleaners Community Food Bank (Gleaners) through a company-wide community outreach program called #LowryCares. The company held its annual food drive resulting in a record breaking 46,499 meals for 2017. This is the most meals raised yet with the donations ranging from 2,011 meals in 2014, to 34,485 meals in 2015 and 42,644 in 2016.

With their largest contribution yet during our match campaign, Lowry provided more than 46,000 meals to those in need throughout Livingston County in the month of December. That was the largest corporate food and fund drive donation for Gleaners in Livingston. With a series of terrible hurricanes striking the United States during this past storm season, the United States Department of Agriculture food that Gleaners typically receives for its entire Southeastern Michigan network is down 400,000 pounds in just two months compared to last year. By the end of the year, we’ll possibly be down almost 1 million pounds if current trends hold. Organizations like Lowry Solutions ensure that we are able to continue serving our most vulnerable and have a positive impact.”

Lowry is committed to giving back to the community through their #LowryCares program. They have created programs that support other organizations in and around Livingston County. The Gleaners partnership is just one of several fundraisers and outreach alliances that Lowry hosts along with an eight-year Intern Partnership with Pinckney New Tech High School and their signature “Jeans for Charity” Fridays with a 100% organizational match.
